Baby G

Meet precious Baby G {and his sweet mommy}. . .

G2_blogG4_blogG6_blogG3_blogG1_blogG5_blogHe’s the first grandson of my son’s kindergarten teacher.  We love her, and we’re so happy for her daughter and their family!  I was honored to be able to photograph their sweet new bundle, and I really appreciate their patience as they waited for their proofs (click HERE to read about our family’s BIG NEWS & why I’ve been so behind lately!).  I hope you all are soaking up every minute with your sweet little man!  Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph this special time in your lives!

and baby makes three

I had the opportunity to do a maternity session with this sweet mama and daddy-to-be recently.  Their baby boy is expected to make his grand entrance into the world later this summer, and it’s obvious that they love him so much already.  And isn’t she glowing? . . . Beautiful!

I’ve had sessions to share and not enough hours in the day lately.  This little man and I have been hanging out on and off for a while now, and I’m having such a fun time capturing his first year!  He’s getting around now, and I bet he’ll be walking next time I see him.

Today is the first day of Spring, and I’m so excited!  I even saw blooms on some trees this morning as I delivered some prints to a client!  My calendar is starting to fill up for April and May, so call or email soon if you want to book a Spring session!

Sweet Baby Jane

Look at my newest neighbor! . . .

Yep, this sweet girl lives across the street from me with her mommy, daddy & two big sisters!  As you can imagine, there’s a lot of princess going on over there (which I love since I’m surrounded by boys).  I was thrilled when this mama asked me to photograph their newest addition, and I’m excited about watching her grow!

what a way to ring in the new year!

I had my first session of 2010 on Tuesday, and look what I got to smooch on! . . .

Those sweet little toes belong to this precious little boy.

I love these next two of him with his mom & dad.  They love him so much, and it’s evident even by the way they look at him.  See . . .

This is Little Bit, and she must have sensed that I love cats because she came out of hiding to participate in the shoot.  I must say that she’s a very good subject, too!

Ian_blog7I really had a great time with this family.  I always consider it an honor to be invited into a complete stranger’s home to photograph their family.  It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly, and I love walking out the door feeling as if I’ve just made new friends.  There are so many great images from this session, but I thought I’d share these as a little sneak peek for mom & dad while they’re waiting for the gallery.

I’ve been a little MIA from the blog lately because I’ve been working on our adoption blog.  If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out at www.dunlapadoption.com. I’ve been working on updating my website a little bit, too, and I’ll be finishing it up in the next few days. All the Capture Photography proceeds from 2010 are going directly toward bringing our little boy home from Ethiopia, so please tell your friends & family about this opportunity to help! Also, check back here in the next day or two for an announcement on a new product.

Thanks again to this sweet family for giving me the opportunity to photograph your sweet boy. I think I’m in love!

a couple of quick ones

I’m short on time, but here are a couple of images of a sweet little 4 month old I photographed recently.  Her parents are BIG UT fans, hence the dress.  She rocks it, though!  (And I’ll forgive them for being UT fans because I like them a lot!).

Here she is all fancied up in her tutu and frilly headband . . . a true princess!

and wonder where the difference lies between your soul and mine.” – Josiah G

I was finishing this session today, and more times that once a smile spread across my face as I opened up image after image in Photoshop.  Tonight when I was putting this gallery online, I said to my husband, “This is one pretty little girl.”  I love her eyes.  They’re big and deep brown, and she has beautiful eye lashes.  It was a pleasure to photograph her!

princesses and castles

I had a great time with some wonderful families at Rhodes College in Memphis last weekend!  My friend, Elissa, and I drove over Friday morning for a whirlwind trip that included seven sessions, an amazing dinner at the Bar-B-Que Shop in Midtown & lots of Starbucks!  It was fun to show Elissa around since she’d never spent any time in Memphis before, and I enjoyed driving down all those familiar roads again.  Nashville is definitely home now, but Memphis will always have a special place in my heart.  So, without further ado, here are the first two princesses I photographed (quite fitting since all the kids kept calling the buildings at Rhodes “castles”)!  Aren’t they adorable?

Between the Memphis sessions and the ones I came back to here, I’m up to my eyeballs in editing!  I’ll post more sneak peeks as soon as I get done with them.  Thanks to all my old and new Memphis friends for the opportunity to photograph your families and little ones!

Images like this make me remember why I love my job soooo much!  Seriously.  Do they come any cuter than this?

I had a great time strolling around Bicentennial Park with this little guy and his fabulous parents this afternoon.  I always enjoy catching up with them, I can’t wait until his ONE YEAR session in a few months!
